Powered by two 350 h.p. Cummins diesel engines, three Cummins generators, and carrying 15,000 gallons of fuel and 7000 gallons of fresh water, the Perseverance can cruise for 7500 miles non-stop and produce all the electricity necessary.
The pilothouse is packed with modern navigation and communication equipment including redundant GPS chart plotters, radar, VHF radios and control systems. Communications are available via VHF radio, cellular telephone, fax, Internet and emergency satellite phone.
